 Spirit Message Circle
 
Description: Winter is a time for going deep within and re-emerging with a revitalized spirit. Contemplation can be very useful in this process.  In these interesting and uplifting group readings, spiritual intuitive Elizabeth Almann channels messages from spirit guides and angels and explains concepts of intuition and healing that are of interest to the group.

Let Go of Tobacco © A Workshop
 
Description: Tired of smoking and chewing? Tried to quit a dozen times? Have you quit and then started again? Would you like to return to ideal health again? Stopping using cigarettes and chew tobacco is a process. This workshop teaches positive thinking and self hypnosis to allow you to remove those obstacles and barriers and move away from tobacco permanently. Good Depression vs. Bad Depression
 
Description: All of us get depressed on occasion. Understanding when depression is good and when it is harmful allows us to move forward with our lives in a healthy manner. This workshop will explore the possibilities of depression, how to use it for health and healing and how to let it go when it has served its purpose. During this class, a group hypnotherapy session will be offered to teach how to let depression go at a subconscious level.

Intuitive Tarot

Description: This fun, hands-on class is for practitioners and students who are wanting to develop their psychic or intuitive abilities and connect with divine guidance for personal growth and healing.  You will learn the key symbols of the Tarot, as well as how to develop your own personal style for interpreting the cards.  Whether you are a beginner or already have experience with the Tarot, this interesting and enlightening class will give you the knowledge and confidence you seek.

Art of Writing For children: A Writing Group
 
Description: This is an informal opportunity for writers and those who aspire to be writers to bring notes, a few pages or full PB (picture book) manuscripts for assessment and refinement with the help of others seeking the same. The instructor will also lead us in writing exercises to loosen up and expand ideas of potential character, plot, and adventure. You are encouraged to come as often as you can.
Instructor: Carina Camamile is a published poet, a children's writer and avid children's book reader. She has been writing, reading and studying children's literature for over 8 years. Her studies have included workshops with many Newbery and Caldecott winning children's authors, including Mo Willems, Richard Peck, and Paula Danziger.

Bring: Participants may bring five or six manuscript pages, or an entire picture book manuscript for critique. Bring paper and pen for notes and writing exercises.

Beginning Belly Dance
 
Description: This class is for the fresh beginner, and those needing to re-fresh the basics before moving to the next level. Suggested age is 12 years or older. And you can never be too old! We will learn the basics of Belly Dance, gain a more positive body image, increased self-confidence, and develop poise and grace.  Plus, it is ever so much fun! All elements of Belly Dance are introduced in the eight (8) weeks of classes.

Instructor: Julia Murphy and Laura Harper both have several years’ experience in all areas of Belly Dance: steps, veils, sword and elements, including costume design , jewelry and makeup.

Intermediate Belly Dance
 
Description: Pre-requisite: Basic Belly Dance, from any instructor. Elements of dance introduced in Basic Belly Dance are taken to the next level. Students will learn more about performance.

The Essence of Reiki 
 
Description: In this introductory class,  you will learn what Reiki is and if you are drawn to this sort of healing and energy  work. We will explore the roots of Reiki, and its healing powers to align the chakra or energy systems and  transmute karma. We will also discuss the attunement process of the sacred healing symbols.  As we are in a time on earth when many are re-remembering their gifts and talents to assist in the ascension of earth consciousness many are being drawn to lift the veil of the illusions of illness and the death experience, and to greatly assist in the rapid transmutation of karma. Reiki, as a force of universal love energy, is a profound tool for this transformation.

Instructor: Sharon Winnett is a Reiki Master/Teacher and massage practitioner. She offers attunement workshops at all levels. She also has 20 years experience in the healing arts and works with many forms of vibrational healing. She is an intuitive healer and offers spiritual life coaching through her private healing practice in Billings.

Yoga for Energizing the Body and Calming the Mind 

Description: The teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, including his Autobiography of a Yogi, have inspired millions. Yogananda's works will be a basis of reference in this class. We will perform physical exercises to increase energy and improve flexibility, learn breathing techniques for stress reduction, apply the use of affirmations for mental strengthening, and practice a relaxation meditation.

Instructor: Elizabeth Klarich began her life-time commitment to yoga teaching in 1974. She has taught a broad range of people in many venues, including businesses, schools, hospital, prisons, addiction treatment centers, senior centers, yoga and dance centers, fitness centers, and television studios. Her eclectic style integrates her broad based training with her personal intuitive style.  Her personalized heart-centered approach makes yoga user-friendly for all. Full Moon Drumming Circle 
 
Description: Our monthly Drumming Circles are becoming an event not to be missed. Drumming, dancing, good company. It’s a real workout! Join in with your dig, your fiddle,  bongos, congas, or tambourine. All you need is something to keep a beat. What a fun way to start off the new year.

Instructor:  This is a shared leadership event. Everyone needs to gain strength and confidence, right?  It happens only through practice.  By just doing it we get better and have more fun. So we pass the lead around and learn from each other.

2008 Astrology, plus The Year of the Earth Rat 
 
Description: Join in an evening discussion about the top astrological events that will be impacting all of us - individually and collectively - in the year 2008. Omi Preheim, Billings astrologer, will present her perspectives through Western astrology, Chinese astrology, and numerology.

Instructor: Since 2002, Omi Preheim has taught basic astrology classes in Billings. Actively studying and practicing astrology since 1995, Omi has been a frequent guest on the “Woo Woo Girls” on Community 7 Television. Omi has also taught advanced “Western Locality Astrology and Feng Shui” for astrologers.

Art of Writing for Children: Book Critique Group 

Description: Polish your writing abilities by discovering what works and why in children’s literature. One of the most significant ways in which to improve writing ability is to read, read , read. Explore picture books, middle grade and young adult novels through a lively discussion of what makes a book great, focusing on elements such as character, voice, plot, setting and dialogue. In a group setting we analyze and critique pre-selected award-winning children’s books. Titles to be read before class are listed below.

Finding Your Runic Power 

Description: Have you ever wanted to create your own divination tool? In this class you will have the opportunity to create your own set of divinatory Runes based on ancient design and practice. We will use primitive tools and a beautiful dark clay, which will remain unglazed, to create a set of Runes in this two hour session. The instructor will fire the Runes and they will be available for pick up within two weeks, February 9th.  Barjon’s has a beautiful selection of bags for your runes.

Enlightened by the Animals: Animal Communication 101  
 
Description: Talk to your pets? Really! Animals see the pictures in our heads and feel our feelings and see the truth of the matter. We have already acknowledged that they are wonderful companions, family members, cheerleaders, and the best of listeners, hence... Master Teachers. In this seminar you are encouraged to bring a photo of your favorite pet, we will then out-line the foundation for the beginner to start a communication with all animals large and small, enhance intuition, faith and feel regarding the spirituality of your pets and what they want to say and teach you.

Instructor: Jacque spent ten years as an instructor of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, which teaches humans how to interact with horses by understanding the psychology of the animal. She has worked as a teacher and consultant for the last ten years, helping people understand and work with their animal friends better. Initially, Jacque began with horses. Her work has grown to include dogs, cats, birds,
and even frogs. She lives in Bozeman with her husband, two children and her animal friends.

Dances of Universal Peace 
 
Description: Beginning January, 2008, and going through May, The Dances of Universal Peace will be the first Saturday of the month. The Dances of Universal Peace are inspired by the wisdom and sacred phrases of the many spiritual traditions of humankind. The Dances use simple music, lyrics, and movements to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and others. “Peace Through the Arts,” was the vision of founder Samuel Lewis. This celebration and meditation in sound and movement is practiced in Dances around the world. We hope that you will take an hour to enjoy the dances with us. Young and old alike are invited; no experience is required.

Instructor: Constance Heidenreich is a certified Dance leader. She has been teaching and leading Dances in Montana for twelve years.

Date(s): Beginning January 5, continuing on the first Saturday of each month, through May 3

2. Courses with low enrollment may be cancelled. In such cases your fee will be refunded.
3. If you change you mind about a class, please call to cancel to someone else may attend.
4. In order to receive a refund, cancellation notice MUST be received at least 3 business days IN ADVANCE to the start of the class.
5. Barjon's does not send confirmation cards.
