Understanding Body Language for Better Understanding: A Workshop (09/22)

Description: Eighty-percent of communication is non-verbal. This is recognized; but how well do we read the non-verbal? What meanings do we communicate every day, without saying a single word? How often are we surprised or disappointed when we rely on words alone for understanding?
Counselors, teachers, medical staff, administrative personnel, and others who work with the public will benefit from this workshop. People unconsciously use body language to communicate their thoughts and feelings. This class will transform your ability to interpret critical gestures and revealing expressions in yourself as well as others. You’ll understand other people’s actual motivations and attitudes. And you’ll also be able to insure that your non-verbal language is saying what you want to convey. Whether your conversations are personal or professional, whether you are trying to understand or be understood, your communication skills and relationships with others will benefit substantially from attending this workshop.
Instructor: Sharron Kay is a Certified Personal & Professional Coach with additional study of body language with over 30 years of practical and instructional experience. Sharron is a qualified educator in the areas of communication, business, customer service, sales and cosmetology.
